Explaining his delay in writing and reminiscing about his time spent at Broadlands; indicating he has no good news to report of "poor suffering Miss Shaw"; discussing his lack of progress on the drawing "intended for 52 Hans Place"; mentioning Rossetti's disappointment at his unfavorable report on "the old Elizabethan House" but describing its "old world" charm as inspiration for a painting; sending warm regards on behalf of Rossetti and describing what he has been working on; thanking Mrs. Tollemache for her book on "Spain and its pictures."
